What is included in Canadian receptionist pricing?
| Provider | Published commercial model | Costs and limits to resolve |
|---|---|---|
| AnswerConnect | Canadian pricing is currently by quote | Included minutes, overage, setup, booking, follow-up and bilingual staffing |
| Dialbox | Core C$129/100 AI calls; Pro C$299/300; Max C$699/900; Managed from C$999 | Staff phone/Assist licenses C$35 each; location and outbound limits |
| Clémentine | From $99/month plus setup from $300; currency not identified | Call allowance, extras and exact calendar/CRM integration |
| Agent IA Vocal | From US$199/month for 60 minutes plus US$999 setup | Overage and implementation scope |
Do not reuse old AnswerConnect rate cards as a current Canadian quote. Its public pricing endpoint did not supply a current numeric tariff. Clémentine’s page also contains zero-dollar placeholders in plan cards; the explicit “from $99” and setup language are the meaningful published starting points, not a free plan.
For 300 AI-handled calls in a month, Dialbox Pro is C$299 before optional extras. Two additional Phone + Assist licenses make it C$369. At that tier, outbound AI calls share the main pool and are capped at 75 campaign calls, with 1,000 campaign texts. It is not 300 incoming calls plus 75 free extra calls. Sustained excess usage leads to an upgrade or managed review rather than a published automatic per-call overage; outbound campaigns pause at the cap.
Clémentine’s starting arithmetic is $99 × 12 + $300 = $1,488 for year one in its unspecified currency, assuming the minimum plan and setup fit. This is a floor, not a comparable quote for 300 calls. Agent IA Vocal’s US-dollar starting arithmetic is US$3,387 for twelve months plus setup, before additional minutes. Keep currencies separate until the vendor confirms the contract currency.

| Text and web | Obtain the channel scope in the quote | Conversational SMS, website chat/forms included | Not established as full conversational channels by the reviewed page |
| Confirm inbox handling versus notifications | Forwarded email intake; confirm reply automation separately | Confirm with supplier | |
| Follow-up | Request the specific human outreach service | Transactional SMS; warm outbound campaigns on Pro/Max | Qualification and appointment workflow; sequence scope to confirm |
| Booking | Specify calendars and availability rules | Native calendar and CRM connections | Common calendars supported subject to assessment |
| Team handoff | Human routing, including maintenance use cases | Transfer destinations and staff access | Call transfer and integration assessment |

Which buyer does each serve?
AnswerConnect suits buyers who require humans and a tailored call flow. Dialbox is a broader Canadian front-office system with meaningful follow-up features; it is not just an answering bot. Clémentine offers a supplier-assisted setup for local businesses. Nolan focuses on listing context and moving rental prospects through conversation, qualification and booking. Compare the complete workflow and confirmed language coverage with your own listings, not merely an English or French marketing page.
What does Nolan cost?
Nolan publishes one price list in Canadian dollars, with no setup fee. It has three packages, each with doors included. Its plans, the voice minutes they pool and the rate after them are in the table above and on the pricing page. Texts, email and chat are not metered, and texting on a Canadian number needs no carrier registration. Other companies’ prices are shown as their pages give them, without conversion.
What does Nolan do in the conversation?
Nolan, the AI leasing agent, answers calls, texts, website chat and listing-site emails, day and night, in English or French, switching when the renter does. It finds the right unit among your listings: it asks for the move-in month, budget and bedrooms in one question, offers the nearest unit when nothing fits, and texts or emails the units that fit. It asks your approved questions, sends your screening provider’s link at the right step, and books the showing into your Google Calendar with reminders.
When you turn them on, follow-ups go by text or email to renters who didn’t book, after about one, three and seven days. A booking, an opt-out or your team stops them. Your team sees every conversation in one inbox, can take any of them over, and can have calls transferred live. Nolan connects to HubSpot and LeadSimple, and sends leads to any other system by webhook, API or CSV.
What should you test in a demo?
Run the same renter through each product: a question about one of your listings, a request for a cheaper unit, a reply after a day of silence, a new showing time and a request for a person. Check that a booking or an opt-out stops the follow-ups. Ask each one to answer in French. To try Nolan, call its demo line with a real listing question and take it through the same steps.
How should you read this comparison?
Descriptions come from each company’s public pages and Nolan’s product inventory. They are not a performance benchmark, and a capability we could not confirm is not described as absent. Product names belong to their owners; Nolan is not affiliated with any of them.
